Sejenis rumput. Batang daunnya diguna sebagai rumpah dalam masakan tempatan. Mudah ditanam dengan menggunakan batang daunnya yang ada sedikit akar. Pokoknya berrumpun. Perlu ditanam semula setiap satu atau dua tahun.

A type of grass. The leafstalks are used as a spice for local cooking. Easy to cultivate, by using the leafstalks that has some stem and roots. The plants grows in clasters. Needs to be replanted every one or two years.

From the book Medicinal Plants of Thailand, the leaf sheath and rhizome is carminative and contain Lemon grass oil which processes anti fungal and anti bacterial properties.
