Introduction (Pengenalan)

In Malaysia the wild trees makes up the biggest group in terms of number and size. Most trees are dicot. However there are also many monocot trees and the Sea Pandan is a typical example. All parts of the tree can have medicinal importants, sometimes it is the leaves, sometimes the flowers, the fruit or the seeds. The stem, the stem bark, the trunk bark, the wood, the root, or root bark may even contain certain medicine.










Di Malaysia pohon liar adalah kumpulah pokok yang terbesar mengikut saiz dan bilangan. Banyak pohon adalah jenis dikot. Tertapi ada juga banyak jenis pohon monokot dan Pandan Laut adalah sesuatu contohnya. Semua bahagian pokok boleh ada nilai ubatannya, kadang kala daunnya diguna, kadang kala bunganya, buahnya, atau bijinya. Batang, kulit batang, kulit pohon, kayu, atau akar, atau kulit akar boleh mengandungi ubat.
